Simultaneous Translation is the complex and highly skilled task of rendering one spoken language into another.
Working in teams of two for each language, simultaneous translators listen to the speaker and, at the same time, provide an interpretation of what has just been said, continuing with this process until the speaker has finished. This enables all delegates to hear the speech at the same time in their native tongue, allowing presentations and discussions at the same pace as single language conferences.
Theatre style layout
When presenting to an audience, we would suggest you use our Infrared system.
- The AIS system ensures that high-quality sound reaches all parts of the conference room
- Delegates are supplied with a lightweight receiver and headset, which allows them to listen to up to 3 languages, by selecting the appropriate channel on the receiver
- The delegates are able to move around the conference room without compromising sound quality.
Booths
- The majority of multi-lingual conferences require sound-proofed booths. Our portable, flat pack booths conform to the ISO 4043 standard and the requirements for EU interpreters
- The size of the booth is 1.67m x 1.67m x 2.10m which allows for 2 interpreters to be seated inside. We can extend each booth to accomodate 3 interpreters.
